ONE ā€“ Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is in full force right now. If you need assistance don’t hesitate to call our toll free number to take advantage of over 25% savings on most products. This ends soon, so do it now before you forget and lose out.

TWO ā€“ Scott’s Mental Trading Spreadsheet

The spreadsheet I promised the Maui ’14 people (Finishing Touches) is done and going out very soon ā€“ by Monday.

I want to apologize to those in Maui 14 class about taking so long. I had to make a decision ā€“ do it the right way or the fast way. I initially thought it would take a month or two to put in a spreadsheet what goes on in my head. How hard could it be, I know what I am thinking?

After about 6 starts with various dead ends (some where making the sheet to complicated for even me to follow) I am finished. I know I upset some people with the length of time it took, but I am going to make it up. I always do.

We have had people ask ā€œIf I was not in Maui 14 (Finishing Touches text and video) and order today, do I get the spreadsheet?ā€

The answer is not only a YES, but I will have a short video done my Monday that explains how to use it. The link for the video will be sent out as well. I rank each trade and hedge in order for each market condition. In addition it shows allocation of capital, etc.

THREE ā€“ VEGAS Class Discount and Circus Ticket

Monday is the last day for EARLY ENROLLMENT discounts, and the last day where Scott is buying tickets (up to two per student) to Cirque Du Soleil. We have to make this VERY CLEAR. In the past we have offered incentives (which helps us plan events better) and people have enrolled at the last second wondering why they are not treated as well. We simply refuse to go around the day before the session and try to getting into a bidding war to buy tickets to a sold out event. It is not uncommon to have to pay $500+ per ticket the day of the show. I am sure you understand.

FOUR ā€“ Business Model ā€“ NO bait-and-switch ā€œfreeā€ seminar tactics.

We thank everyone in our database for giving us so much to be grateful this year. It has been tempting at times to adopt the business model other firms do, which is to trick people into a ā€œfreeā€ 2 hour seminar and then blast them with a $5,000 price tag on a 2-day seminar.

This method works great which is why everyone does it. It would certainly make us a household name with 10 times the sales in a year. This model would raise our costs (TV time is expensive and you pay for it) and it would distract us from our goal ā€“ the best product and most realistic expectations in the industry.

Because we have people that are enthusiastic and dedicated to success we have decided (once again) to not go that path this year. To date we have been able to grow because of word of mouth. As long as we are able to continue getting recommendations by friends and family we can avoid this slimy technique and pass the savings on to you.

Thank you again.

Yesterday and Today

Important Reminder for POT:

The office is going back over the POT trades and updating the files, so when you go into the POT portion of our website you can click on any trade (trade #160 for example) and get the detailed history from beginning to end. How cool is that? You asked us to do this, so we are.Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 12.59.43 AM

Schedule

Friday = Ā½ day

Yesterday

An absolute example of watching paint dry ā€“ but this was not only expected but told to you in many updates last week.

TODAY

OIL

OPEC agreed to keep their production output constant, and not try to manipulate the price of oil higher by decreasing their output. This is going to force oil prices into the gutter by at least $4 or $5 (if not more). We will probably break through that critical $70 area and then fall from there with little real support.

Markets

Since oil has been a bit of a weight on the markets (and I still don’t know why), the drop in oil will do a couple of things.

  • Keep a little downward pressure on the markets despite the typical post-Thanksgiving rally we usually witness.

  • The US dollar will be strong against other currencies.

  • If oil gets too overdone I will be using a bullish trade example (that is safe) in POT. This year we have done a couple oil trades in premium selling that worked out too good. We quit at the right time, not because we saw the selling coming but because volatility collapsed.

In Addition

Typically the day ofter Thanksgiving is the most quiet day of the year. Any trader who has the ability to not work today will take the day off making it a 4 -5 day weekend. It is a way of sneaking in a mini-vacation. Because of this we will most likely see a little action in the first 30 minutes and the rest of the day will be so dull you will be hitting your monitor thinking that it is broken.

Yet once in a great while action happens and it gets over-exaggerated because of the lack of players, so don’t take it for granted.

POT is held each Wednesday night at 7:00pm eastern.

You will be getting a separate update right on the open with the four quick items we have to roll because of Friday expiration. Then I expected to be done for the day, but will hang around anyway as I have to make a video for Finishing Touches and help with Cyber Monday sales questions. An explanation of this was given last Wednesday and is left behind again today.

Added the new Billy Baroo Put Spread and turned the TSLA trade into a giant work of art.

You HAVE to love the Risk Reversal taught in Finishing Touches text (Maui 14).

See graph below showing the risk reversal that was hedged by a

risk reversal (half as many times) in the opposite direction.

FINISHING TOUCHESmu5

Maui ’14 participants.

The spreadsheet that I have been working on showing how I examine the market and decide what strategy to implement, plus allocating capital to each strategy is finally done. It will be going out in the next couple of days. In addition there is some more more material that will be going out as well.

Obviously this is available to anyone who purchases Finishing Touches for the first time this Cyber Monday ā€“ at a greatly reduced price.mu6

DISCLAIMER (Seriously!) All data above is provided for informational purposes only. Random Walk makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of the data.

Trading is almost as much fun as black jack in Vegas, but without all the annoying distractions of free drinks, Broadway shows, gorgeous people with low morals, and free buffets. It also has about the same odds of success, so when you lose all your money you wont have to walk past a smiling pit boss. Even Bruce Wayne lost everything with options in The Dark Knight Rises, and Superman keeps his day job at the Daily Planet newspaper.

We have the utmost respect for our attorneys who tell us any attempt to trade is throwing money out the window, and investing is risky business (still a great movie). Past performance doesnā€™t mean a thing. The future is even scarier. Random Walk and everyone associated with it promises absolutely nothing. We guarantee nothing. We wont ever do anything right unless it is an accident.

Random Walk only provides education (and a great cup of Starbucks if you visit our office). If you want advice please consult an attorney, licensed broker, tax consultant, investment adviser, etc. Random Walk, LLC is full of morons, dolts, has-been(s), chromosome damaged individuals, thieves, losers, and carnival barkers. Any attempt to find a semblance of intelligence or integrity in Random Walk would be a waste of time. We will sell products, but advise against buying them. We Do Not Give Advice.

When reading this you acknowledge that you agree to hold harmless Random Walk, LLC, its employees, independent contractors, authors, managers, owner(s), spouses, children, cousins, friends, bail bondsmen, and favorite bartender. In fact, you agree to grow up, accept some responsibility for your own actions, and stop believing the media that sells you on how nothing is your fault. You further agree in the antiquated and lost values that America is the land of opportunity and not the land of handouts. You agree any loss in the markets is a result of your own actions as we told you NOT to trade without consulting someone other than us.

All paper trades are SOLELY for example and to illustrate how certain strategies could perform without the benefit of hindsight and back-testing. You agree NOT to trade based on anything we say, do, write, advertise, etc. If we were smart we would be teaching high-school math and making the really big bucks. You agree to abide by the laws of your country and that it is legal to accept this transmission.

Every attempt has been made to ensure accuracy, but we are clueless. As a result it would be foolish and impossible to assure the accuracy of any numbers and/or come close to writing a sentence that is grammatically correct. You agree not to get on our case emotionally, physically, spiritually (no Voodoo dolls please) or legally when we screw up. We are doing our best to keep up with evolution, but it is a fast race and we are falling behind. If any of this stuff is too hard to accept please let us know and we will remove you from our mailing list and short term memory.

Random Walk deeply cares about each and every student. We try to keep the selling of products to a minimum. We believe our students are a result of attraction rather than promotion. This does NOT mean that the more attractive you are, the more we promote ourselves (in general).

Our products are written ONLY by floor traders, fund managers and retired floor traders. But that really doesnā€™t mean much. They are expensive and unique. That does NOT mean they (materials) come on a tablet of concrete from Mt. Sinai. . If you are still reading this, you will likely be the first to have gotten this far. No guarantee for accuracy is made. Nothing we do is audited and we make no promise of accuracy.

Because of the proprietary nature of our materials and the ease of electronic copying, all sales are final. There are far too many people who have no problem stealing our materials and putting them on torrents or copying them. These are the same low-life, selfish, whining, half-wit hypocrites that would cry like a newborn with a wet diaper if someone stole their car radio. They have to pay for our materials before stealing them, and live with their karma (and our legal team). Yes, we have caught a few and now have one person working on detective work solely.

Sales are far from our largest concern. If you are a whiner, complainer, or generally unhappy with life please go to someone else in this industry who values money over happiness. We can point you in the direction of other firms that only care about the bottom and top line. Jerry Springer can also point you in the right direction. Besides whiners are a total distraction from the awesome group of students we are fortunate to have. We are truly blessed and thank them (provided that is fine with our lawyers). ā€œThank yousā€ are only handed out in countries where legal and void where prohibited. If your country does not allow ā€œthank yousā€ please refrain from accepting it. This disclaimer is copyright material and not a joke.
